BIRKEROD SPORTS & LEISURE CENTRE SCHMIDT HAMMER LASSEN ARCHITECTS

  1. structure: again, the structure ought to reflect the long span/short span conditions and should describe the intersections with the ground.
geometry: its made of rectangels, including a square for the main space and a quarter circle in the west side. the plan form is complex because its a collection of basic shapes. its made a bit more complicated by the curving envelope, but that's a finer grain analysis than is implied by the geometry catagory, in my opinion.
Parti: the full outline of the public volume whould be drawn. i think the parti is a rectnagular bar and a curving shape.
symmetry and ballance: i suppose you can draw either separately, as there are local symmetries, but I read clark and pause's analysis more simply as a way of finding relative mass.
Massing: here I would think the overhanging roof plane is worth recording in the massing diagram. It's a major move. a plan to section analysis would also be revealing in this project.
    circulation is pretty staightforward.
