SECTION BUBBLE DIAGRAM

  1. Comments on adjacencies:

    1. the weight room up high can be a challenge due to loading, both dynamic and static, and windows aren't a priority.
    2. the cafe and lounge can be paired as they a re similar functions and you'll find space efficiency.
    3. the store will benefit from adjacency with the entry. think of museums and other public institutions, where the store is the last stop on the exit sequence, where visitors can buy books, mementos etcetera.
    4. the pool is often placed in the basement, but as a swimmer, i can tell you it's unpleasant to be buried away from natural light and air. you might find that it pairs with the soccer field. based upon your precedent analysis, the long span spaces fit together, and this might be worth trying in your planning.

  2. I agree with point number 4 an open space with natural light would be great for the pool area. since I cant put my pool in the basement like I was planning to I definitely looking forward to place my pool in a more open space so natural light can come in and also to make people comfortable.
